Head Coach Sean Donovan signs on for 3 more years

The Cape Breton West Islanders of the Nova Scotia Eastlink Major Midget Hockey League wish to announce that Head Coach Sean Donovan has resigned with the team for three more years, which includes 2015-16 right through the 2017-18 hockey seasons.

Next year will be Coach Donovan’s fifth season as Head Coach of the Islanders. Sean is a native of Glace Bay, where he played his minor hockey. He then moved up to the Cape Breton Jeans Experts in the NSMMHL, and Jr A with the Antigonish Bulldogs of the MJAHL. Prior to joining the Islanders he played five seasons with in the AUS with StFX, where he was Team Captain in his final two seasons.

Brian Mac Innis, Islanders Team President reports that they are extremely pleased to be able to re-sign Coach Donovan as he has done an outstanding job with the team. They are currently making preparations for their Spring Camp in May, and looking forward to next season which will be the Islanders 11th year playing at the Al Mac Innis Sports Centre in Port Hood.
