Islanders Announce New Head Coach

Troy has many years’ experience coaching in the Cape Breton West Association, starting at the Atom AAA, PeeWee AAA and Bantam AAA levels as well as being Head Coach of the Nova Major Bantams for two seasons. He was also an Assistant Coach for the Islanders in 2008-09. Troy was the Development Coach in the “West” Association last season and has also been involved with the Hockey Nova Scotia Program of Excellence.

Assistant Coaches Kyle Gillies and Darren Mac Donald as well as Head Trainer Brian Ingraham and Equipment manager Dan Mac Donald are all returning for the upcoming season. 

The coaching staff is currently making preparations for August Try-outs which begin on Saturday August 22^nd at the Wellness Center in New Glasgow.
