Islanders Remembrance Day Ceremonial Opening Face Off

Dropping the puck for the Islanders tribute to Remembrance Day, is Master Corporal (ret'd) Carson MacIsaac during the Thursday, Nov 5th Islanders Game vs Pictou Weeks.

Carson is s former player in the NSEMMHL with Rod's Eagles. During his 13 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces he served as a peacekeeper in Ethopia and Eritrea(2001), did two tours of duty in Afghanistan (2003 and 2009) and a mission in New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Carson Mac Isaac's presence puts a very human face on the valuable work our Canadian Armed Forces do around the world and the Islanders are proud to call him an Alumni.
 
Also in the Picture is Islanders President Brian Mac Innis and VP Paul Mac Isaac. Taking the face-off is Weeks # 17 Evan Mac Lellan and Islanders Team Captain Axel Poirier.
