Islanders announce Garrett Lambke as new Asst. Coach

The Cape Breton West Islanders of the Nova Scotia Eastlink Major Midget Hockey League are pleased to announce that former Islander player Garrett Lambke has accepted the position as Asst Coach.

Garrett is a native of Antigonish and played two seasons for the Major Midget Islanders under then Head Coach Sean Donovan!  Garrett graduated to Pictou Crushers of the MJAHL where he had three great seasons. In his final season under Head Coach and  former NHL player Doug Doull the Crushers won the Kent Cup!  

Garrett easily made the transition from player to coach He spent the past two seasons as an Asst Coach with the Nova Bantams of the NSMBHL.

We are extremely pleased to add Garrett to the Islanders Coaching Staff. He was a hardworking, honest, blue color player for the Islanders and will bring that same work ethic and winning attitude to the Islanders Bench Staff, says Islanders Team President Brian Mac Innis.
