Islanders Picked in Junior A draft!

Seven members of the Cape Breton West Major Midget Islanders were drafted in Saturday's Maritime Junior A Draft held in Yarmouth.

Forward Regan Spears was selected in the second round by Pictou Weeks Crushers, Connor Mac Eachern was selected in the 4th round by Bridgewater Lumberjacks, Miiguel Sullivan in the 6th round by Campbellton Tigers, Mark Wagner in the 6th round by Truro Bearcats, Jarrett Martell in the 7th round by Bridgewater Lumberjacks and Garrett Lambke by Pictou Weeks Crushers in the 9th round.

Defenceman Mark Trickett who was selected last week-end by the PEI Rocket of the QMJHL was also made a territorial pick by the Truro Bearcats.

All are expected to report to their respective Junior Camps.

All except Martell are eligible to return to the Islanders.
