Nick MacNeil a former Cape Breton West Islanders Major Midget attending NHL summer camp

A hockey player from Creignish is attending another NHL summer camp. Former Cape Breton West Islanders Major Midget, Nick MacNeil, now a forward with the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds is attending the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes' summer camp. The camp opens Tuesday,June 26th and runs until Saturday,June 30th. Nick is a former Asst. Captain with the Islanders and also a former Captain of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. He attended the St. Louis Blues training camp in September 2010.

MacNeil won his first major championship in his first year with the Reds; they won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Championship in 2011.
