Aaron Johnson a former Cape Breton West Rod's Eagle has signed a two way deal with the Boston Bruins for the 2012-13 season. Aaron played two seasons with the Eagles before being drafted by the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL where he played for 4 seasons. He was drafted in the third round by the Columbus Blue Jackets # 85 overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft,. Aaron has also played for the  Islanders, Blackhawks, Flames, Oilers, and Nashville.
